Do you wish you could improve the appearance of cracked, chipped, stained, or misaligned teeth? With a simple cosmetic solution known as porcelain veneers, you can. With porcelain veneers, Dr. Gary Goodman and Dr. Jeremy Goodman can help you achieve dramatic results in as few as two visits.
Veneers are thin, personalized sheaths of dental porcelain. They're made to fit over your front teeth, giving them a brighter new appearance that still looks natural. What's more, your veneers will be stain-resistant, allowing you to enjoy your beautiful results for years to come.
Here's what you can expect from the treatment process. During your first appointment, Dr. Gary Goodman or Dr. Jeremy Goodman will prepare your teeth by removing a small amount of surface material from them. Then, we'll design your veneers and place a set of temporary veneers over your teeth to protect them.
When your personalized veneers are complete, you'll return to our Annapolis dental office to have your temporaries removed and your permanent set put in their place. Afterward, you can leave feeling a greater sense of confidence and well-being.

While traditional restorations crafted from metal can restore your oral health and functionality, many patients aren’t happy with the way they noticeably alter a natural, beautiful smile. Thankfully, all-ceramic crowns, bridges, inlays, and onlays offer the best of both worlds.
Dr. Gary Goodman and Dr. Jeremy Goodman offer cosmetic and restorative care with personalized restorations that have been precisely designed to blend in with your smile. As a result, you can enjoy results that will improve your health and confidence.
We can even create them in one visit with our advanced E4D technology. Imagine coming to our office to have your tooth prepped, but instead of leaving with a temporary, you leave with your permanent restoration, with no follow-up visits necessary. That's what you can look forward to with the revolutionary E4D milling unit.
To learn more about this advanced tool and how it's changing the treatment process, don't hesitate to call our office. We would be happy to answer your questions about same-day restorations. We can also schedule an appointment for you with one of our caring, experienced doctors.
Minor chips and cracks may be just that, but that doesn’t mean they don’t take attention away from your smile overall. If chips, cracks, and even gaps and stains plague your smile, direct bonding offers a fast and non-invasive solution. By applying color-matched composite resin to your teeth and curing it using a special dental light, we can fill imperfections in a way that keeps your smile natural-looking, not filled with metal like traditional fillings might do.
Have your teeth have become lackluster over the years because of dental stains or general discoloration? At Goodman Dental Care, we offer a popular cosmetic solution--teeth whitening. With a set of custom-made whitening trays and a supply of professional-strength whitening gel, patients can achieve dramatic, life-changing results over just a couple of weeks.

When choosing a cosmetic dental treatment, it can be difficult to know which one is right for you at first. Furthermore, it can be difficult to undergo treatment at all if you aren’t sure if you’ll be happy with the outcome. If perusing our smile gallery doesn’t give you enough confidence, we recommend utilizing the digital imaging/virtual smile design software right here in our office! Here, we can take a photo provided by you, upload it to the software, and simulate what your smile will look like after a given treatment.
Traditional metal braces are hardly for everyone, which is why we’re glad that options like Invisalign clear aligners are available at our practice. These clear, plastic trays are fully customized to represent specific stages of your realignment. Not only are they made to fit comfortably, but they will not irritate the soft tissues of your mouth, unlike traditional braces that can poke at your cheeks, lips, and gums.
Each pair is worn for a set period of time, typically 22 hours a day over a period of two weeks, at which time you will swap out your current set for the next one in the series. Once you’ve completed wearing each pair in the series, you should have a straighter and more attractive smile!

If you have multiple imperfections in your smile, one treatment may not be enough to properly address all of your smile concerns. During a cosmetic consultation, our dentists and team members will help you build a larger treatment plan that effectively addresses the cracks, gaps, stains, chips or other issues you have with your smile. This could be a combination of cosmetic bonding and teeth whitening or a series of porcelain veneers and other metal-free restorations.
No matter what you need, we can offer you the new and improved smile you thought you’d never have. It is our job and our pleasure to assist in restoring your smile and boosting your confidence levels through cosmetic dentistry.

But before you sit down in the dentist’s chair, we encourage you to review some of these frequently asked questions about cosmetic dentistry. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
The answer is a resounding yes! When imperfections exist in your smile, it’s important that you receive treatment to not only improve the look of your teeth and gums but also their health. Cracks, chips, and even a misaligned bite can lead to worsening dental problems (i.e. chronic jaw pain, excessive wear and tear, tooth sensitivity, etc.). By choosing a practice that offers cosmetic dentistry services, you will be taking another step to enhance your smile and improve the state of your oral health, which is a win-win when you think about it!
If you enjoy whitening your teeth on your own time, you will find that our teeth whitening system is right for you. But after achieving your desired results, how do you keep your smile looking its brightest? A few tips to follow include:
Unfortunately, it is possible to experience dental problems even with porcelain veneers. However, this is usually determined by how well you keep your teeth clean. Dr. Gary Goodman and Dr. Jeremy Goodman are cosmetic professionals who know how to properly apply veneers to reduce the likelihood for problems, but for some individuals, not choosing the right cosmetic dentist can spell disaster. If a veneer is improperly placed, a portion of the original tooth enamel can be exposed, making it susceptible to decay. Also, if you opt to forgo a normal oral hygiene routine, the natural tooth underneath can develop cavities. Remember, just because your veneer cannot decay doesn’t mean the tooth it’s covering is the same.
More and more dentists are turning to metal-free dental restorations for the following reasons:
Traditional amalgam shines a spotlight on your dental work, so if you’re looking for a less noticeable and more aesthetically pleasing dental solution, metal-free restorations are the way to go.
Various things can cause a tooth to discolor. Some of the most common ones, though, are:
It’s rather easy to get crowns and veneers mixed up. They’re both, after all, restorative dental treatments. Still, you can tell them apart due to the different issues they fix.
Take a dental crown, for example. As a dental “cap” that covers a damaged tooth, it repairs the pearly white’s structure. These can range from decay-related breaks to missing tooth portions.
Dental veneers, meanwhile, have a different role. Namely, these thin, porcelain shells are made to cover the fronts of teeth. In doing so, they correct a wide range of smile flaws – stains, gaps, cracks, and even misalignments. Their use is thus to improve a tooth’s looks.
At a consultation for a smile makeover, you can expect three things: an oral exam, a dental impression, and a “preview” of treatment results.
As the consult starts, your cosmetic dentist will perform a quick-but-thorough oral exam. That way, they can assess your teeth and confirm which services will help your smile.
Following the exam, the dentist will take an impression of your teeth. With our office, that means they’ll use digital software to create a photo of your present smile. You won’t have to deal with traditional impression molds made of plastic.
Lastly, the dentist will make an “after” photo of treatment results based on the prior impression.
Unfortunately, dental insurance usually won’t cover cosmetic dentistry. Most policies consider its treatments elective and thus “medically unnecessary.” As such, patients must often pay for cosmetic dental work out-of-pocket.
That said, there are occasional exceptions. Some plans offer partial coverage for treatments with oral health benefits. For example, a crown or veneer may be covered if it protects a damaged tooth. Similarly, Invisalign may be covered if a policy includes orthodontic work. In either case, you could expect about 50-80% of the treatment cost to be covered.
Given these facts, you should confirm your plan benefits before treatment. Our team can help you do so if necessary.
